Cuando os presentamos Read It Later, os presentábamos una aplicación con la que podíamos transferir páginas web entre dispositivos móviles y ordenadores para, como bien dice el nombre de la aplicación, lo leas mas tarde. Pero hoy han presentado una actualización que modifica por completo la aplicación: Pocket.
La nueva aplicación incluye mejoras que suponen, además del nuevo nombre, una nueva interfaz de usuario completamente renovada que nos permite disfrutar de imágenes y vídeos sin dejar de lado la interfaz que se utilizaba para la lectura, ya que cuando pulsemos en el artículo que queramos leer nos lo mostrará sin ninguna distracción. En definitiva, ahora todo es mucho más fácil. Antes las aplicaciones móviles incluían una lista de los artículos guardados, pero ahora se ha dado paso a una interfaz mucho más atractiva, que podéis apreciar en las imágenes.
Actualmente dispone de integración con más de 300 aplicaciones diferentes, y han cambiado el precio, ya que antes Read It Later era una aplicación de pago, y ahora Pocket es totalmente gratuita. Está disponible para bastantes plataformas, entre las que se incluyen iOS, Windows Phone o BlackBerry.
Cada día tenemos mas fuentes de información y más noticias gracias a Internet y otros recursos, y muchas veces el mantenernos informados de todo puede resultar muy tedioso y aburrido. Pero gracias a aplicaciones como Pocket la labor se nos hace más sencilla, permitiéndonos mantenernos al orden del día sin tener que dedicar tanto tiempo como tendríamos que dedicar sin alternativas como esta. Y esta aplicación en concreto es uno de los mayores exponentes en este sentido por todo lo que hemos ido describiendo: Sencillo, simple e intuitivo.

El cambio sólo ha sido de nombre y estético. La app es la misma.
Claro que es la misma, con retoques graficos y algo más, pero en verdad nos jodieron, yo pague por la app hace 1 mes y ahora que la hacen gratis no nos dan ni premio de consolación…
Me respondo. Pensaba que seguía habiendo una versión gratis y otra de pago. En fin, al menos sólo pagué por ella los 10 céntimos de las ofertas…

Yo soy usuario de Read It Later desde hace mucho tiempo y cuando abrí la lista de mis paginas no leídas me di cuenta que había cambiado mucho y luego leí este artículo. Me gusta que este servicio y ahora más que veo que más útil y más intuitivo para usar. Lástima que no hicieron un anuncio o enviaron un correo a los usuarios para que estuviéramos preparados a tal cambio.

Pocket es de “siempre” mi aplicación para almacenar claves de sitios y esas cosas, es MUY buena y se sincroniza con PC (windows, linux o mac) por dropbox el solito.
Por eos al ver este cambio de nombre me extraño mucho, la verdad, pero bueno, yo me quedo con mi Pocket!
