En medio de la discusión sobre si es necesario a este nivel seguir el aumento de características de hardware de dispositivos móviles como parece que hará la nueva Nexus 7 con 4GB de RAM o si podemos empezar a soltar el pié del acelerador, Samsung ha anunciado que la semana que viene presentará la evolución de su más potente chipset, el Exynos 5 Octa.
El actual Exynos 5 Octa es el que llevan las versiones sin LTE de ocho núcleos del Samsung Galaxy S 4, a diferencia de los Qualcomm de cuatro núcleos que si tienen soporte para LTE. Se espera, aunque esto es simple deducción lógica, que el nuevo Exynos 5 Octa sea el procesador que llevará el futuro Note III, aunque este no se presentará al menos hasta Septiembre, por lo que sorprende que veamos la evolución del chipset para la semana que viene, la cual esperemos ahora sí tenga soporte para LTE.

La versión actual del Exynos cuenta con dos pares de quad-core, un A15 a 1.6GHz y un A7 a 1.2GHz. La idea es que nunca funcionen los ocho a la vez, si no que lo hagan por separado según la tarea que se está llevando a cabo. El A15 se encarga de las más duras y el A7 de aquellas que necesitan menos procesamiento, lo cual ayuda al ahorro y mejora de la eficiencia de la energía.
Hay varias opciones de cara a la actualización que veremos en este procesador dentro de una semana, pero todo parece indicar que los tiros van por un aumento en la velocidad de procesamiento más que a un procesador con ocho núcleos funcionando a la vez, que parece exagerado para dispositivos móviles y perdería mucha eficiencia energética. Quizás también haya una evolución en la GPU, pero es pura especulación.
La respuesta a estas preguntas, la semana que viene de la mano de Samsung.
Será el mismo Exynos, pero con LTE, y quizás un poco de OC.

Pues yo en lo personal ya no quiero exynos, porque no liberan drivers y es desgastante tener un celular de tope y no poder explotarlo al maximo prefiero, adquirir un equipo con SoC snapdragon 800 creo qualcom tiende mas la mano a lo desarrolladores
